Women's Empowerment Program 2015/16
We want to bring Australian women together to experience all that Nepal has to offer. This program is specially designed to foster relationships and connections with the women in Gorakhani village. You will spend your days at the village school, and your afternoons with a village woman as she goes about her daily activities.
Group classes will be scheduled in areas that will be of benefit to the local women, such as English, health education and story telling. Stories about your life in Australia or elsewhere can be of huge benefit to the village women, many of whom have never ventured far from their home village. This program aims to educate and empower not only the women in Nepal but also the program participants.
You will trek for two days to GorakhaniVillage with a Nepali woman as your guide. Your experience will end with an Adventure Jungle Safari where you will ride on top of elephants while searching for rhino and the elusive Bengal tiger.
Which Costs are Included?
• All accommodation.
• Australian team leader.
• A professional English speaking guide.
• All meals.
• Entry into all cultural sites and National Parks on the trip.
• Food and accommodation on 2 day trek to Batase Village.
• All transportation within Nepal.
• All government fees and taxes.
Which Costs are Not Included?
• Nepal Visa fee.
• Your international airfare to and from Kathmandu.
• Cost of extra porters if required (In the event that you over-packed and are bringing more luggage than you can carry).
• Travel insurance.
• Personal expenses such as phone calls, internet, laundry, bar bills and bottled water. Though we don't cover these costs, our guide will be able to assist you in locating anything you need.
